Piraeus Chamber of Commerce and Industry
The Piraeus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (P.C.C.I.) is one of the oldest Chambers in Greece, founded in 1905. The Chamber has administrative and financial autonomy, operating under the supervision of the Minister of Development. Registered members of P.C.C.I. are companies located within the Chamber's region, both in the central and regional municipalities of Piraeus. Its companies are ranked according to their activity in the departments of Commerce, Manufacturing, Services, Shipping & Shipbuilding Activities. In terms of innovation, sustainability and competitiveness in the Maritime Sector, PPCI:
- Represents one of the most significant maritime and industrial business ecosystems in the Eastern Mediterranean, with strong links to shipping, logistics, port services, marine equipment and blue economy activities;
- Supports the digital and green transition of the maritime and industrial sectors, promoting innovation, sustainability, decarbonisation, smart shipping technologies, and environmentally responsible business practices.
- Due to its strategic location in Piraeus — one of Europe’s largest ports and a major international maritime hub — the Chamber maintains close cooperation with shipping companies, shipyards, maritime technology providers, logistics operators, and research institutions.
- Participates in and supports initiatives related to sustainable maritime growth, innovation ecosystems, SMEs competitiveness, and the advancement of blue economy policies.
Furthermore, P.C.C.I. participates, as founding member, along with the Maritime Chamber and the Union of Greek Shipowners, to the Steering Committee dealing with the creation of the first Greek Maritime Cluster «MARITIME HELLAS».
