Shaping Europe’s waterborne sector
Research, development, and innovation and its deployment in the waterborne sector are driven by WATERBORNE, providing strategic policy guidance to European institutions. By actively engaging with the European Commission and coordinating the private side of Horizon Europe Partnership on Zero-Emission Waterborne Transport, the Waterborne Technology Platform ensures the sector’s priorities lead the way in achieving European policy objectives.
From vision to action
A common medium- and long-term R&D Vision and Strategic Research Agenda (SRA) is developed to guide the waterborne sector. By focusing efforts and resources, mobilising financial support from private, regional, national, and EU sources, and contributing to education and training, it supports the competitiveness, resilience and sustainability of the European waterborne sector in line with society’s expectations.
