Chalmers University of Technology
Mechanical Engineering and Applied Science are cornerstones of Chalmers University of Technology, underpinning the development of knowledge and solutions to meet global challenges such as sustainable transport, climate change, digital transformation, and the transition to a fossil-free society. Within this context, the Division of Marine Technology contributes to addressing these challenges in the maritime domain by:
- advancing the frontiers of naval architecture, ocean engineering, and maritime systems;
- educating future generations of engineers and researchers with a strong focus on safety, sustainability, and innovation.
With a collaborative and multidisciplinary research environment, the Division of Marine Technology brings together expertise in hydrodynamics, ship design, structural mechanics, and marine operations. The division works in close partnership with industry and international stakeholders, supported by national and global research funding, and forms an integral part of the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
